It's been a long time, blogger.. a long time. 

Here's (some of) what I spent my 3-day weekend doing.

homemade reese's cup ice cream.

remembering this place.

sitting in the grass.

boxing up spoons for Haiti from VBS.

helping the little sister make 

carmel-toffee-covered pretzel sticks.

Marshmallow Madness

We had our first bonfire of the year last night.

Roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, 

sitting and just staring at the fire.

It was chilly but nice

and it left me anxious for the (hopefully)

many more bonfires we'll have this year.

(just a side note):

If you ever give Ellie a s'more, 

she'll eat it, get it all over her hands..

and then turn into a wild animal.

Be warned.

First Bonfire Of The Year

Almost Here

The baseball gloves and bats are out.

Little girl's chalk drawings take over the sidewalk.

The neighborhood kids come by on Saturdays to play.

Shoeless Babe

With snow and ice covering the ground

I think shoeless days are over for now. 

But in this picture I see
