Counting the Ways

"How many of the popsicle days,
the run and twirl and spin days,
the bare feet on grass days have I slept through?
Life is too sweet, too delectable to rush through.
All these moments are for you.
Count the ways He loves."

I Believe It

"Because I believe it,
right down to the toe-end of me:
that His grace is everywhere,
written right into the walls of this world.
That man's only successful end
is to glorify God where he is."

Isaiah 40:8

"The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."

Hello Spring

See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves is heard in our land."
                   -Song of Songs 2:11-12

To Worship and Praise Him

"Beholding Your beauty is all that I long for,
To worship You, Jesus, is my sole desire.
For this very heart You have shaped for Your pleasure
Purposed to lift Your name high.

Here in surrender, in pure adoration
I enter Your courts with an offering of praise.
I am Your servant, come to bring You glory
As is fit for the work of Your hands."

Hopscotch

We played hopscotch for almost an hour this afternoon..
not because I love that game, but because I love her.

Sunday Football (Church-Kid Style)

After church football games. These are the moments I love. Despite the cold and coats, I like to believe spring is in the air and summer coming soon.

This game takes some serious concentration, folks.

"Throw it to me! Throw it to me!" she yells.

(Could someone please explain to me why this is so much fun? Because I really don't get it).

I love this dorky kid. Sorry, you can't have him. He's my dork.

Thoughts This Morning

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him?
                                             -Psalm 8:3-4
